Jesus had to go through the suffering of the crucifixion before we could have the victory of the resurrection. As we walk through the scenes detailed in scripture - the upper room, the garden, and the trial - we see the truth that we are Barabbas. We are unworthy rebels. And God wanted us to go free - because He loves us.
