Serve one another in love
PRAYER
We want to be a church family who intercede on each others’ behalf by bringing concerns to the Lord in prayer. The volunteer prayer team are ardent prayer warriors, and would love to know how to pray for and support you in whatever you’re going through.
REQUEST PRAYERCARE
TLC's team of Care volunteers rally around our church members for a short term (such as after the birth of a baby or an injury in the family) to meet tangible, non-financial needs. If you are an involved part of our church family and this sounds like you, please get in touch!
REQUEST CARECommunity Resources
When you experience a crisis or other hardship, you may need help to meet basic needs such as rent, utilities, food, transportation, medical treatment, or clothing. We invite our Grand Rapids-area neighbors to utilize this list of local resources to help you get back on your feet.
Find ResourcesPremarital Counseling
Build your marriage on more than a hope and a prayer - work through specific topics before you join in this covenant! TLC couples who provide premarital counseling are trained SYMBIS facilitators and are passionate about helping you prepare for a strong and passionate marriage.

Pastoral Care
All relationships are broken in some way and experience challenges. While our pastoral staff does not provide ongoing counseling, we want to provide a compassionate and Christ-centered response to those in our church family experiencing relationship challenges. If domestic abuse (a pattern of misuse of power and control) is part of your story, care by a specially trained counselor will be necessary; however, our pastoral staff will draw on training from Called to Peace Ministries to be a safe resource for you.

WHY WE CARE
We believe that the church is not just a gathering of people seeking God’s Kingdom together, but a community of Christ-follwers who are passionate about helping each other during times of hardship. Whether you need prayer, some financial assistance, or maybe even a meal, The Local Church wants to hear from and care for you.
Acts 2:44-45 says “And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.”
