Worship Style

We typically have a pretty modern worship set. It can get loud. It’s always full of passion and it’s always for the Lord.

Teaching Style

You’ll hear a teaching from the scripture that is authentic, relevant, and challenging. We want to push you closer to the God and closer to your community.

Arrival Time

Services are at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:15. Many come in before service begins to grab a good seat and say hello to their community.

Still have questions?

  • When are your service times?

We gather on Sundays at 8:30, 9:45 & 11:15AM in person and online.

  • Do you stream your services online?

Yes! You can find us live online at 8:30, 9:45 & 11:15AM on Sundays. You can find all of our past messages on our Teaching Archive or Vimeo Channel

  • What does TLC offer for my kids?

We have an awesome team of volunteers (all background checked!) that serve in Local Kids. Classes are offered at both service times for nursery through 3rd grade, where kids will enjoy music, a lesson, free play time, and often a craft. Learn more about our Family Ministry here.

Children in 4th-5th grade have some options! They can attend an elementary class with 3rd graders during the earlier services, or we have a special class (think pre-youth groun) for 4th-6th during the 11:15 AM service only. Local Youth is for 7th-12th grade and meets from 12:30-2:30 most Sundays (schedule here).

  • What should I wear?

We are a casual church focused on building community and relationship with Jesus. No need to dress up, unless you want to!

  • How long are TLC's services?

In total, our services are about 60-70 minutes in length. Sundays are not always the same, but they often begin with the band leading the church in music—song lyrics will be up on the screens so you can sing along and engage with worship however you feel comfortable. After that one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message from the Bible.

  • What denomination is TLC?

TLC was formed out of The Wesleyan Denomination. We believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life.

We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit. We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.

You can read more about our beliefs and core values as a Wesleyan Church at wesleyan.org/about/our-beliefs

  • What is the Water's Edge Network?

At TLC, we are part of a family of churches committed to amplifying the hope and life of Jesus. We believe all mission is local, so we equip local leaders around the world. Learn more at watersedge.org.

  • How can I get involved at TLC?

Joining a small group and serving are two great ways to get involved here! Local Groups are matched up and launch twice a year - in the early winter and in the fall. Read more about groups.

We have many ways for you to serve right here at TLC! No matter how much time you have to give, we can find a place for you. Learn more about the opportunities to serve as a volunteer.

  • How can I become a member?

We currently do not have a membership per se, but we do have "Owners". If you’re interested in becoming an Owners at TLC please read on.

The goal of the Owners Agreement is not to become a law that none of us can live up to. Rather, like Jesus’ call to love GOD and love neighbor upped the bar for us all, we want to call one another to pursuing GOD’s best as we form Christ’s Church in this place. We will pursue these statements primarily out of love for GOD and secondly out of love for one another.

We agree together to pursue these ideals, knowing that at times we will fall short, and that there are statements we agree to that we may not yet be fully living.

We will offer grace to one another when we fall short and will encourage one another towards these lofty goals, believing not only that we can live these out, but that we will be better for doing so.

If you'd like to become an Owner here at TLC please prayerfully read the statements here and at the bottom there will be opportunity for you to sign the Owners Agreement.

  • Do you have to be a member to take communion?

Nope! We believe in open communion – that means that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion, whether they are a church member or not.

  • How can I stay in the loop with things happening at TLC?

The absolute best way to stay in the loop is by signing up for our weekly Trending email! We jam-pack it full with what is coming up on Sunday as well as what events and opportunities are coming up. We also send major announcements or updates to that list as well.

Another great way to stay in the conversation all week long is by following us on Instagram or Facebook.

  • I have more questions, how do I get in touch?

We'd love to connect! You can call our offices at 616.265.5155 or email us at info@localgr.org
