The early Christians shocked the Roman Empire with their weird lifestyle. Their hospitality and philanthropy opened the door for an alternative society that challenged and raised the eyebrows of the empire that surrounded them. Many of us are aware that our lives are meant to have a similar effect. But we’re not sure how. We are unsure of what to do, or what to say, and so we decide to just ignore it. The result for many of us: disastrously wonderful American lives.
As Christians, we are “sent ones”, meant to foster habits that shape our lives and values that send us into the world on mission with hope. When we do that, people take notice, and want to know more. Our task is to shock the world!
Join us over the next five weeks as we explore five habits of missional people. The five habits: Bless, Eat, Listen, Learn, Sent. The result: a church of generous, hospitable, Spirit-led, Christlike missionaries.
