SARAH

Toran has joked during a couple of messages that Jesus "ate his way through the Gospels", but jokes aside, we know that food is one of our most basic needs, and something that blesses and brings people together. In a tough season - whether sickness, a crisis, or overall hard times - delivering a meal to someone in need provides tangible support and love.

Over the past year or so, my family went through intense times: we welcomed our first child, my husband had open heart surgery, and I lost my job. We relied on our TLC family through each of these changes in different ways. And it was during this season - when I found I was at the end of myself - that a warm, thoughtful meal would be delivered to our doorstep.

In seasons when someone from our church family is just trying to survive, a meal, a grocery pick up, childcare, a ride, or yard work, can be what that person needs to get through their day. TLC's Care Team is committed to taking care of the people in our community, so we can continue to help the next generation fall in love with Jesus.
